Celebrating 25 years of music, Albany’s free signature free concert series premiered in the summer of 1990 with a performance by legendary folk artist Richie Havens, and has since grown into a staple of summer in the Capital Region. This year’s eight-week Alive at Five season runs through August 7, showcasing a diverse lineup of big names, up-and-coming acts and the region’s most talented original local artists. Official Alive at Five t-shirts and posters will be available for sale at all concerts. FREE.
Parking is available at Riverfront Garage, the official parking location for Alive at Five, with a connection to the pedestrian bridge to Jennings Landing at the Corning Preserve. There is a $5 flat rate for Riverfront Garage parking on Alive at Five nights. Handicap parking with easy access to Alive at Five is available at this location. New this year: CDTA Event Day Passes! Available to residents of Albany County, CDTA & the City of Albany will offer free bus passes for Alive at Five Thursdays. Event Day Passes can be picked up from Albany City Hall (24 Eagle Street, Albany), the Times Union Center, the Palace Theatre, the Central Avenue BID office (176 Central Ave, Albany) or the Downtown Albany BID office (40 N. Pearl St, Albany). The passes will be available from 10am-4pm on the Wednesday before each show, while supplies last. One pass per person; residents must present valid ID with an Albany County address to be eligible for an Event Day Pass.
