2024 Albany's Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K

The City of Albany’s Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run is a great race for all ages, featuring a beautiful Halloween decorated course through Washington Park! Following the race, there will be an afterparty event featuring giveaways, vendors, decorations, DJ, Best Costume prizes and awards recognition posting of the results, featuring age-based divisional awards and random prize drawings. This race also features chip timing by ARE Event Productions. All registered runners will receive a wicking fabric shirt. Warmups and lining up by 4:00pm, race starts at 4:30pm.

Registration price increases to $30 on October 1st

A $5 discount for children under 10 will be automatically applied at checkout for the timed race which includes a shirt. Kids 5 and under who do not want to be timed and do not want a shirt can register for the free kids' option below.

Day-of registration will be available for $35 for all, ONLY if the event limit is not reached.

Awards will be given to the 1st Place Male, Female & Non-Binary. Costume Contest for Best Adult Costume, Best Duo Costume and Best Kids Costume!

Top three male and female finishers in each of the following categories will also receive awards: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. Post-race awards recognition and posting of results takes place in Washington Park at the Finish Line!

Paid Parking: Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K Parking Locations

Off-street parking for the Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run is available just a short walk from Washington Park at the following ParkAlbany parking lots:

Parking Lot 2: Located at 72 Central Avenue.
Parking Lot 3: Located at 327 Washington Avenue. DC Fast EV Chargers are available at this location.
Parking Lot 4: Located at 124 Central Avenue.

Special ground rules in effect: No alcoholic beverages, glass containers of any kind, animals or pets*. All entry fees are final and non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel the race due to weather conditions that cause the running surface to be hazardous to the runners’ safety. City of Albany, AREEP, and any affiliate or venue associated with the Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K are not responsible for lost bibs. Ground rules are subject to change without notice. Exceptions made for medical or childcare reasons may be addressed individually. (*Excludes ADA-defined service animals.)

Strollers are welcome but we strongly encourage runners with strollers to start in the back for the safety of all involved.
